What Are the L Brackets on the Blue Ox 2689 Base Plate Used For During Installation
Question:
what are the L brackets with the nut welded for on the back side of unit??the tabs go into the front and these brackets are on the other end and protrude down?

The bracket at the rear of the Blue Ox Base Plate # BLU77XR is designed for the belly plate to be attached to the base plate. It doesn't explicitly state this in the instructions, so I can understand the confusion on this. I was able to confirm this with our installation team as well as my tech contact over at Blue Ox.
