Troubleshooting 2016 Heartland RV Bighorn 3875 Having Poor Braking Performance.
Question:
I Bought a used 2016 BigHorn 3875 this spring. The brakes work poorly. I tow it with a 14 Ram3500 with the factory brake controller. On 10, it barely slows. I have been researching and see I have auto adjusting brakes. Just looking for advice before I tear into it or pay someone else to.

I would be happy to help!
Since you are experiencing less than ideal braking performance from your 2016 Bighorn 3875 and it has auto-adjusting brakes I recommend removing one of the hubs and checking to make sure that the brake shoes and magnets are in good shape.
Testing the magnets following the included help article will help you check that they are in good working order.
Chances are you will find that the brakes are in need of replacing, so if you find that to be the case I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-7-SA.
I included a video of the # AKEBRK-7-SA for you to take a look at.
