Expert Reply:

Yes, replacing your bias ply tires for Kenda KR25 # AM31208HWTB is a good move with regard to the safety of your cargo trailer and you on your motorcycle. As long as your radial tires are properly inflated, the radial tires will have improved traction and better tread wear which in turn will give you a more stable ride.

The main difference between bias ply and radial tires is the construction of the tire and the usage applications. Bias ply tires have stiffer sidewalls and might be used for more off-road applications such as farm use whereas properly inflated radial tires run cooler and have more flex which allows for better ground contact.

I have attached a FAQ article regarding tires.
