Troubleshooting SumoSprings Compressed 1/2 to 2/3s After installation

Question:

I just installed Sumo Springs part # TSS-107-40 on both Dexter 3 inch round axles of my 2006 Keystone Montana Mountaineer 29BS travel trailer. When I put the camper back on the ground sitting on its own suspension after installing all 4 Sumo Springs they are compressed to approx 1/2 to 2/3 of their original height. Is this normal or will this be a problem?

I spoke with my contact at SuperSprings to find out if this would present any issues for you. Although the amount of compression you are describing with the # TSS-107-40 installed is not ideal, they assured me that the system would still work as intended and would not cause a problem.

With the amount of compression you are describing, you may need to replace your leaf springs. If you provide me with the measured distance from center eye to center eye as well as the capacity of your axle I would be happy to make a recommendation.
