What Hitch Extender/Adapter Do I Need for My Reese Winch?

Question:

I have a reese mounted winch that fits in 2” receiver. The problem is both ends of mount for winch are 2” so I can put in either direction. Is the outer extension able to receive 2” ? I would like to use this as a coupler. Meaning winch then install coupler to be able to reese trailer ball into coupler. That way I can hook up trailer to use winch to pull something onto trailer. Current setup I either have to use my 4x4 or another vehicle to put winch on to do this. How long is outer piece? I attached a picture to show you mount. The 2” pipe goes past mount.

I have a solution for you. The receiving end of the Hitch Extender for Brophy Hitch-Mounted Stairs # RHSE is only designed to fit Brophy Hitch Stairs # RHS2. Unfortunately, they will not be able to accommodate your Reese winch that is compatible with a 2-inch receiver.

With that being said, if you need a hitch extender that will fit with your winch and allow for an additional accessory, I recommend the MaxxTow Dual Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches - 10" Long # RM-077-10. It is important to note that you reduce the hitch's overall weight capacity by 50% whenever you use any kind of hitch extender or adapter. I went ahead and attached a picture of the dual hitch extender with the dimensions to this answer.
