Left and Right Hand Assemblies for 12 " Electric Trailer Brake Replacement
Question:
I have an older trailer and wanting to replace the brakes or the entire brake assembly. The brakes are 12x2inch but the trailer brake flage is a large 5 bolt pattern about 7 1/8inch or 7 1/4.

Expert Reply:
I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies item # AKEBRK-6. These are 12x2 inch drum brakes that are rated from 5,200 lbs to 7,000 lbs and will fit your 5 bolt pattern. The brake pads are made of durable friction material for improved braking and longevity and E-coated backing plates that resist rust. They fit 14-1/2" to 16-1/2" wheels. If you need hubs message me back with your lug nut bolt pattern and I would be glad to make a recommendation. I have linked a video that demonstrates the installations of these brakes.
