Installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR on your 1974 Ford Bronco will require a few things to get up and running. I wasn't sure if you meant you had a pre-existing 7 Way on your Bronco or not, so I will be starting from scratch. If you do already have the 7 Way installed, you can skip ahead a bit. I do have to mention that I included videos for all these products, but they will just be examples as they will not be for your vehicle.
So lets start with wiring. You will need to have a 4 Flat on the vehicle to upgrade to a 7 Way, so a quick and easy one will be the Curt # C58044. This comes with quick style connectors making it quick and easy to get attached. From here, our Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 will piggyback off the 4 Flat and will get you up to the needed 7 Way. This will also include all the wiring, circuit breakers, and brackets needed to get a controller up and running.
Once all the wires are run, you will need to connect the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc # RED69FR. This will need to be hardwired into the wires you just ran, but will plug directly into the back of the Liberty brake controller # RED24FR. The red wire will also need to be connected to the brake switch. You will need to test to find the which only has power when the brake pedal is pressed.
I included a diagram of how everything will need to be wired, but once all this is complete, you will be good to go.
