How Do I Find My Brake Controller Plug on My 2017 Honda Pilot?

Question:

2017 Honda Pilot Touring AWD. No factory hitch. I am going to order a P3 and hopinginch I have the plug in.... but I cant find it and I dont there is one. Pictures and videos show a grey plug corresponding to the wiring adapter. If it is not easily visible do I assume it is not there? I should not have to pull out any trim panel to find it, correct? It would automatically be included simply because the trim line is Touringinch would it? Thanks for any help

There is a plug-in for the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3070-P in your 2017 Honda Pilot. You will not need to pop off any fascia/plastic to access it. The harness will be located underneath the dash and left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the brake pedal. From my research of your vehicle, all models of 2017 Honda Pilot (regardless of if it is a Touring model) will have this plug-in. Sometimes, the harness has a black cap on it (instead of gray) that can make it a bit more difficult to identify.

I went ahead and linked a video of the installation of the compatible Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 on a 2011 Honda Pilot that will give you a good idea of where the wires hand down on the left side of the steering column.
