Will Optronics Turn and Tail Light # STL78RB Need Additional Power Source on 2013 Toyota Camry

Question:

I plan on mounting two of these LED lights on a hitch-mounted bike rack. When loaded, my bikes block a mojority of the cars tail lights. Do these lights draw enough power that warrants a separte power source, or can I splice then right into the existing brake/tail cicuits? Car is a 2013 Camry.

To use the Optronics 6-1/2-Inch Turn and Tail Light # STL78RB with your 2013 Toyota Camry, you will not need an additional power source. Each of these lights draw draw a fraction of the power of incandescent bulbs and are DoT-compliant.

This item would connect using 3 wires: Turn signal and brake (red), tail light (black), and ground (white). I have provided a link to a video review of this product.

To hook the Optronic light to your vehicle, I recommend the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 118405 to provide a 4-way flat connector at the back of your vehicle, the Draw-Tite 4-Pole End Connector # 18004 to run from the lights, and Wire Loom # 459075-1 to protect your wiring.
