Installing Flat Towing Charge Battery Charge Line Kit on 2014 Equinox

Question:

My 2014 Freedom elite came with tow package which has a 6 way plug. I tested the plug and identified the following: moving clockwise top pole: running lights, ground, left turn/stop, then right turn/stop. Center pole is 12 volt/hot which my question is that should be the charge line to hook up to for your charge line kit on my Equinox? Thanks

You'd only need the Roadmaster # RM-156-75 Motorhome Charge Line Kit if the 12V center pin on the 6 pin connector on the motorhome isn't active.

For your Equinox, you'll need the towed vehicle charge line kit, part # RM-156-25. There's not much difference between this and the # RM-156-75, the # RM-156-25 comes with a shorter length of wire.

You'd connect the charge line kit on the vehicle to the center pin of the 6 pin connector that's installed on the front of the Equinox as shown in the video I've linked for you.
