Will the Thule Spare Me Spare Tire Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2009 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I just ordered new mounting plate for 2009 Rav 4. Your web site says the newer plate mounts on all Rav 4 tires except those with rear cameras. Other web sites say this mounting plate will not fit over the lip on the rear tire holder for 2009 Rav 4s. How certain are you that newest plate will fit 2009 Rav 4? Lots of people had to saw the lip off, eliminating the need for the new plate.

We have installed the Thule Spare Me, # TH963PRO, with the updated mounting plate on a 2009 Toyota RAV4. I have included a link to a video for you showing it.
If you have the original Spare Me 963 bike rack then you would just need the new mounting plate # 753-3532 and that will be all you need to fit the rack to your 2009 RAV4.
