Recommended Replacement Electric Brake Assemblies With Parking Brake Levers For 1997 Sloan Easy Load
Question:
Working on a 1997 Sloan easy load trailer. Rear axle has AL KO electric with hand brake option. Part number on backing plate is PRI-GG SEC-GG 10 X 2 1/2. Do you have a replacement. Fronts appear to be Dexter with dex 101 FF-D ON side of brake shoes. 3500lb axles. Thanks

Based on the numbers stamped on your AL-KO brakes you have 10" x 2-1/2" braking assemblies, but that is not a size carried any longer. The closest option would be the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit w/ Parking Brakes # K23-086-087-00 which measure 10" x 2-1/4" and have the parking brake assemblies you like you need. You will however need to confirm that the brake mounting flange on your axle has a bolt pattern that measures 2-7/8" apart, and 4" apart diagonally as shown in the included diagram.
As long as your brake mounting flange has the same measurement these will fit perfectly, but you will need to use replacement hub and drum assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K to replace the hubs on your rear axle as well to make sure the brake magnet is the correct distance from the drum. This hub is designed to work with 2-1/4" wide brakes like the ones mentioned above.
