Recommended Replacement For Carrier Air V Air Conditioning System With Furnace

Question:

I read your post recommending the Advent model replacement unit for my Carrier Air V air conditioner. Sounds awesome, however, the RV repair shop I first took it to said I could no longer buy a unit that operated both the AC and the furnace from the same remote controller like the Carrier. He said I would have to hard wireinch two separate thermostats to make a replacement work. Is this true, or will the Advent unit controller work both? Thanks for your help.

If you're replacing just the rooftop unit of your Carrier Air V system with the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup w/ Start Capacitor - 15,000 Btu # ACCAR150 you'll be plugging into your Carrier Air V distribution box and will be able to use your current thermostat.

If you're wanting to replace distribution box as well then I recommend theFurrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - White # FR55PV which has a single zone controller which will allow you to wire in your furnace and control it with the included Furrion wall-mounted thermostat.
