Could Demco Recon for Recessed Ball Hitches Be Adapted to Standard Version

Question:

I have 2 trucks. One is a f450 with a flatbed and a recessed gooseneck ball in a pocket built into the flatbed, for which appears this hitch will work fine. The second is a f250 with a gooseneck hitch where the ball sits above the floor of the bed. Would it possible to buy just the piece I need that is different between the above bed ball and the recessed in the bed ball so I can use this hitch on both trucks, saving me from buying 2 hitches thx

Even if we could get you the different shank portion of the Demco Recon that attaches to the ball between the recessed ball version part # DM8550046 and the # DM8550045 which attaches to a standard ball it wouldn't work as the recessed ball version sits at a much lower height since flat beds are taller so you'd have to have each version.
