Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit No Longer Responds To Remote
Question:
I have this model Bulldog powered drive kit that is no longer responding to the switch either moves very weakly or not at all. Ive checked the batteries and they are charged and providing ~12.5v at the terminal block. Im suspecting something is wrong with some component in the switch assembly. Is it possible to get just this part separate from the kit? What would be the next best step in troubleshooting? Unfortunately the way it was installed there was very little slack and I did not have a double square bit to remove the switch box or electric lines so that I could test voltages on the switch directly one is on the way. Any advice would be appreciated.

It sounds like there could be an issue with the motor on the Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit for Single-Speed Jacks part # BD1824200100. I recommend applying 12 volt power directly to the power lead on the motor to see if proper operation resumes. If not, you know this is faulty and will need replaced with the Replacement Gear Motor for Bulldog Electric Powered-Drive Kit part # BD1046130-00. If the motor resumes as normal then you can try replacing the switch but this is unfortunately not something we offer so you'll need to see if the manufacturer can provide one but if not the entire until will need to be replaced.
