Recommended 7-Way Adapter for 2008 Jeep Wrangler JK with 4-Way Installed
Question:
Do you have a plug and play for 2005 starcraft pop up camper with brakes, to a 2008 Jeep Wrangler JK with 4 pin connector? I borrowed an adapter, but the brake lights were continually on, and the trailer brakes pumped when I used the turn signal. Thank you.

It sounds like you have a 7-way connection on your camper and need an adapter for your 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK. Since I do not know if you have a factory tow package or not I will cover both possibilities.
If you have a factory tow package, I recommend the # HM42190 Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector. This is a custom fit part for an 08 Wrangler Unlimited and has a simple, plug-in installation. The wiring harness plugs in to your factory wire port at the rear of the vehicle.
If you do not have a factory tow package, I recommend the # ETBC7 Universal Installation Kit. This kit comes with all of the necessary wiring and hardware to install a 7-way trailer connector. The adapter plugs into your existing 4-way with additional wires for the 12V hot lead, electric brake, ground and reverse light.
I have attached an installation video for the # ETBC7 on a 2008 Wrangler Unlimited for your reference. It includes the installation of a brake controller, the # 90885 Prodigy P2 Brake Controller from Tekonsha. If you need a brake controller and would like to skip the installation, I recommend the # C51180 Curt Echo. This proportional brake controller plug in line with your 7-way connection and is controlled via Bluetooth using your existing smartphone.
