How Much Space Do the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Kit for Travel Trailers Need

Question:

I have a 7x16 enclosed trailer I have converted to a camper. I have scissor jacks on all four corners and would like to increase the stability of the camper with a jt strong arm kit. Is there a minimum distance apart the jacks need to be to work on a camper? The reason I ask is my jacks are most likely 12” or so closer together than most other standard campers since my camper is 7’ wide and not 8’ wide. Thank you for your time.

There isn't a minimum distance apart that the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Kit for Travel Trailers part # LC191025 must be located. The instructions state the following in regards to positioning.

- Locate a cross-member rearward of the rear jacks at a minimum of 4” to a maximum of 18” for jacks mounted at an angle. For jacks mounted square with the chassis frame, use a minimum of 6”.

- Under front half of chassis, locate a cross-member or center compartment with a steel floor from 6”-18” from front of front jacks.

The arms can always overlap if needed as well. I have attached the full installation instructions below.
