What Crossbars Do I Need to Use My Thule Hullavator on My 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon?

Question:

For a crossbar system that will fit on your raised rails on your 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon and accommodate the Thule Hullavator # TH898 is the Malone AirFlow2 # MPG216. This is a great economic option that does not sacrifice quality. With the AirFlow2 crossbars, you will be able to transport up to 165 pounds of cargo on your roof (as long as this does not exceed the weight rating of your 2021 Subaru Outback). If you need to know the weight capacity of your roof, I recommend consulting your owner's manual for that information. The one thing to note about the functionality about the Hullavator is that it requires 4-8 inches of crossbar space after the feet in order to operate properly. In order to confirm if you have the required length, I recommend measuring the outside edge of your raised factory rails. If that measurement is at a maximum of 52 inches (given about 2 inches for the protrusion of the feet outwards), you will be able to use the Hullavator with the AirFlow2. Unfortunately, there are no other crossbar systems we carry that will accommodate the Hullavator on your 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon.

Just like the Thule Hullavator, the Yakima ShowDown # Y04081 also requires some crossbar space after the feet (3-1/2 inches compared to the 4-8 inches of the Hullavator). As far as a compatible crossbar system, I recommend the Malone AirFlow2 # MPG216. In order to confirm if you have the required length, I recommend measuring the outside edge of your raised factory rails. If that measurement is at a maximum of 52-1/2 inches (given about 2 inches for the protrusion of the feet outwards), you will be able to use the ShowDown with the AirFlow2. Unfortunately, there are no other crossbar systems we carry that will accommodate the ShowDown on your 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon.
