Determining Correct Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2016 Coachmen Orion 24RB

Question:

We just purchased a 2016 Coachman Orion24RB, and we would like to utilize a hitch mounted Swagman E-Bike rack, not necessarily needing to tow / haul anything requiring a class 3 hitch. Problem lies with needing a 2” class 3 hitch receiver with the Swagman rack. We need to locate the best replacement for the provided class 1 hitch receiver on our motorhome. What make / model would you recommend???

There are not custom fit trailer hitch receivers currently available for your 2016 Coachmen Orion 24RB, but an option like the Curt # C13701 which is a universal hitch that fits frames that are 18" - 51" wide and has a 2" drop receiver.

You will just need to make sure that this hitch will in the cutout for the trailer hitch receiver on your motorhome but measuring from the bottom of the frame rail to the top of the cutout for the hitch. The top of the receiver will be 4-3/8" below the frame rail.

This hitch has a 500lb tongue weight rating which will be plenty for your Swagman E-Bike Rack, you will just need to verify the tongue weight capacity of your motorhome and use the lower rating between the hitch and vehicle.
