What Size Battery Should I Use With My Badland Winch 2500
Question:
I have a Badland Winch 2500 mounted in a garage from the previous owner. What cold cranking amp battery should I use for it? Can I use a Anbull SMPS 110V AC to 12V DC Converter Power Supply Adapter Switch Transformer Max 50A 600W to run the winch?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The amount of cold cranking amps you need depends on how much you plan to lift/pull. The Badland Winch 2500 has an amp draw of 132amps at 2500 lbs, so any car battery should do. I would recommend including a charger in your setup. I recommend the OptiMate 6 Smart Battery Charger w/ Temperature Compensation - AC to DC - 12V/24V - 6 Amp/3 Amp part # MA84JR. This charger is designed to plug into a wall outlet. It is also a smart charger, so it will adjust and maintain the charges according to their algorithm.
You could not use the Anbull SMPS 110V AC to 12V DC Converter because it will not supply enough power.
I have included a product description below.
