How to Determine Which Suspension Upgrades for Travel Trailer

Question:

I just purchased the 2021 Forest River Wildwood 29VBUD Travel Trailer. Its my 1st Rv and I wanted to upgrade the suspension. I was inquiring about the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer kit . And the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Kit W/ Shocks. How would I know ,if they will fit my RV. Any help would be appreciated.

The three things you'll need to know to choose the correct cushioned equalizers is the axle capacity, the center hole to center hole length of the equalizers you currently have and the height of the equalizers.

For example, the Lippert # LC696740 Road Armor has a bolt spread measuring 6 inches wide and is 3-1/2 inches in height, measured from the center of the top hole down to a line drawn between the holes where the shackle links mount, as shown in the provided photo. The Road Armor equalizer is designed for 3500-8000 lb rated axles.

The Roadmaster # RM-2460-2570 fit is determined a bit differently. It's designed for 3 inch diameter axle tubes, which is typical for 5200-7000 lb axles.

If you'd care to reply with the dimensions requested above as well as the axle capacity, I'd be happy to make a recommendation for you.
