Replacement Hitch Ball for 2017 Ram 3500 OEM Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
I purchased this about a year ago and have towed perhaps 3500 to 4000 miles. Performance has been great. Unfortunately the lever on the ball is damaged and now requires a screwdriver to pry it open. I dont remove the ball often, but Im concerned about the wear and long term effects. Would you recommend replacing it?

Expert Reply:
Yes. If the latch on your Curt Pop-In Ball for Ram or Ford OEM Gooseneck Hitches # C60601 has been damaged in use then I do recommend replacing it to avoid any potential issues in the future that might keep you from removing the ball from the truck altogether.
