Why Can't Water Pump be Used with Valterra RV Water Tank
Question:
I am wondering why exactly it says not to use with a water pump on this tank? Any particular reason? I have a 1978 GMC Birchaven motorhome and this is pretty much the perfect replacement for my original freshwater tank that sat inside the cabin next to the rear wheel well.

Because the Valterra RV Water Tank # R8072 is a lightweight tank that is baffled for surge control and can't handle large pressure changes like what a pump would product, it is not designed for use with electric water pumps. It would void the warranty if used this way and is why they specifically note on their site: "Not for use with electric pumps, low pressure applications only"
