Recommended Front Mount Receiver Hitch for 2016 Ford F-350

Question:

Howdy! I have a 2016 F350 and want to install a front tow hitch for carrying firewood and such while camping. I want one that mounts behind the front license plate and bolts onto the tow hooks. What do you suggest?

Although it mounts to the sides of the front frame members instead of the tow hooks, the EcoHitch # EH59FR front mounted receiver would install so that the receiver tube sits behind the license plate holder. The Curt # C31018 and Draw-Tite # 65049 would both install so the receiver tube sits below the bumper which reduces ground clearance, approach angle and would require that the front fascia/air dam be trimmed, so even though it won't bolt to the tow hook mounts, the EcoHitch option would be the closest thing we offer to what you're wanting.

Installing the hitch would involve permanently removing the front license plate holder, but the # EH59FR includes a license plate holder that would mount in the receiver when the receiver isn't being used.

I've provided a photo showing what the hitch looks like once installed.
