Operation of Locking Release Tab on Loc-Ring for Snap-Loc E-Track Tie-Down Anchor # SLARI

Question:

I purchased some e-track tie-off rings made in China at NAPA that look identical to the photo of your e-track tie-off ring. They easily clipped into the e-track on the wall of my box trailer, but do not clip into the e-track on the floor. The problem is the e-track well i.e., sub-floor is too narrow for the release clip to down into the locked position. I assume the trailer manufacturer either installed the floor e-track too deep or made the well too narrow. It appears from the photos of your E-Track O-Ring that the spring is compressed by moving the flared tab shaped part towards the o-ring. Is this correct? If so, it might work on my e-track because the flared tab appears in the photos not to extend beyong the end of the device like the release clip of my tie-off ring. Do you think your O-ring would work in my floor e-track? Thanks.

The Loc-Ring for Snap-Loc E-Track Tie-Down Anchor # SLARI has a spring-loaded tab that is pressed in toward the O-ring to allow it to be inserted into an E-Track receptacle. The tab also needs to be pressed in for removing the O-ring from the E-Track.

If you wish to add or replace some of the E-Track in your trailer we offer both 5-foot, part # E19148, and 2-foot lengths, part # EM59150. When installed on the floor of your trailer, the top surface of the E-Track will extend above the floor by 7/16-inch. This Cargo Buckle tie-down can easily be inserted into and removed from the track with this 7/16-inch clearance above the floor.
