Cargo Carrier For 2 Inch Trailer Hitch With 4 Inch Depth

Hello, I have a 2020 Volvo XC90 with OEM hitch. Id love to attach a cargo carrier and I am having hard time finding the one that fits. Biggest problem being the hole location and the depth of the receiver. Specs: 2 inch class 3 hitch, with 200 lb limit. The depth overall is 4 inch with the center of the hole being 2.5 inch from the deepest, and 1.5 inch from the opening. Is there one that fits my car? I also saw an aluminum one by etrailer, can I purchase that one and drill a hole? I dont plan on going over the limit, and it can be pretty light weight. Please advise

We can help you out here, though you definitely won't want to drill any holes in the shanks of a cargo carrier as that can compromise the integrity of the carrier. I was able to find one hitch cargo carrier that will work for your Volvo, from Swagman:

According to Swagman's dimensions, this cargo carrier measures exactly 2-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of its shank, so it will just be able to fit in your 2 inch hitch.
