Installing Reese Universal Base Rails In A 1975 Dodge Pickup

Question:

Im trying to install a 5th wheel hitch. I have the universal mounting brackets but the ones that mount under the bed arent making any sense! The dont look like the ones in the picture but I am trying to get this mounted and set up by Monday the 26th of July. Does anybody have the right brackets and how soon can I get them? From what I read the top rails work with any bottom brackets.

If you purchased the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10 Bolt # RP30035 for your 1975 Dodge Pickup then the undermount brackets should be L-shaped. All of the universal kits come with L-shaped brackets that will require you to drill into the frame to bolt on. I've included a video that walk you step by step though installing the base rails for your 5th wheel hitch.
