There are several types of bike racks for your 2012 Honda CR-V: trunk-mount, hitch-mount, and roof-rack-mount. I have linked two articles concerning bike carriers that might be helpful to you in reviewing your options.

Trunk-mount carriers require no additional equipment for installation. These mount directly to the vehicle and are easy to install and remove yourself. These are definitely the most cost-effective option. We offer several choices of trunk racks and all can be seen using the provided link.

A good carrier that includes the anti-sway features is the Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack # SA805BL. It is a hanging-style rack that has adjustable arms and the anti-sway straps that keep your bikes stable during transport. The anti-sway feature is a step up from the basic but it is important to keep your bikes from banging into one another.
that grip the bike frames. It is made of steel with a gray powder-coat finish. I have linked a video showing a typical installation. This carrier does not include locks, but we do offer such items, for example the # e98891, which is a 10-foot cable with lock.

Since you do not have a hitch receiver or roof rack you would need to install one in order to use a hitch-mount or roof-rack-mount bike carrier. These types do offer certain advantages. Hitch carriers avoid interference with access to your trunk (many of them can fold or tilt out of the way) and they do not require you to lift your bikes up to the vehicle roof. Also, a hitch receiver can be used with other accessories apart from bike carriers, such as cargo carriers. Roof-racks also allow you to use other accessory items such as cargo boxes.

If you have interest in either a hitch receiver or roof rack I will be happy to make recommendations, but based on simplicity and affordability, the trunk carrier is your best option.
