Can I Attach the Straps on the Saris Freedom to the Saddle Post of My Step-Through E-Bike?

Question:

Will this mount work for 2 x 60lb ebikes. They are Step through type with mud flaps and a back carrier. I would like to know if the middle tie down can be tied to the saddle post as I do not want to tie down my bikes over the battery

I went ahead and reached out to my contact at Saris, and he recommended that instead of attaching the straps of the Saris Freedom # SA4412B to the sliding saddle below the seat of the bike, it is safer to attach the straps on the downtube below the adjustable seat bar. This way, you can avoid any potential loosening of the saddle if the seat becomes loose during transport. With that being said, Saris did confirm that the Saris Freedom will work with this type of configuration if you want to avoid the battery.
