Is There a Smaller Trailer Ball Plate for Reese Friction Sway Control Bar
Question:
Is there a sway ball plate for smaller trailers? It’s a 2000 jayco pop up the trailer it is only 2-3/4” and most of these are 3” or bigger.

Expert Reply:
The ball and socket plate for the trailer side on the Reese Friction Sway Control Bar is rather large. Thankfully, the ball and socket plate is pretty universal therefore you can use the Ball and Plate Assembly part # C17201 which has a smaller footprint. There wouldn't be any smaller options so if this is still too big it would have to be cut down and re-drilled or welded.
