Recommended Flat Towing Equipment For A 2014 Ford F-150 XLT With EcoBoost
Question:
I wish to flat tow my 2014 f150 behind a farm tractor to avoid an extra person to move me around. I see that can be done, but can I get baseplates which allow the tow hooks to remain in place or some other way to leave the tow hooks on? Thats kind of a deal breaker.

All of the base plates that fit your vehicle will require you to remove the tow hooks as they would take the place of them. If you decide later on you want to go ahead and remove them and install the flat towing equipment then I have the following recommendations for you:
Base Plate: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms Item # RM-524431-5. These direct-connect brackets are virtually invisible, easy to mount and remove, and they eliminate the need for a quick-disconnect crossbar on your tow bar.
Tow Bar: Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 8K Item # RM-576. This tow bar has a non-binding design that allows you to release your vehicle at any time, anywhere on even or unlevel ground.
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit Item # RM-154. This kit splices into your vehicle's wiring to signal using your vehicle's tail lights instead of having to run magnetic lights to the back of your vehicle every time you need to tow. Since you'll be pulling behind a tractor you most likely won't need this but if you flat tow behind a motorhome you'll need to have a wiring kit to signal.
Safety Cables: The # RM-576 tow bar I recommended comes with safety cables so you won't need to purchase any separately. Since you're pulling behind a tractor the safety cables are as necessary but if you end up pulling behind a motorhome you would need to have them in the event of a breakaway.
If you plan on towing the behind a motorhome in the future you will also need a braking system. I recommend the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional Item # HM39524. This system is a reoccurring setup but only requires a few minutes of your time and comes with a charge line kit to keep your vehicle's battery charged while towing.
