Recommended Replacement Power Tongue Jack For RAM 3500lb A-Frame Jack On 2021 Venture Stratus

Question:

My 2021 Venture Stratus SR321VQB came with RAM 3500 lb tongue jack. It is almost identical to this model but this appears to have some plastic twist cap at the top to access manual components to operate without power. Mine doesn’t have that cap, it does have a rubber type plug. Do these come with cap and a plug or is mine just an older or newer model of the same jack? It is 12v. I’m attaching pictures of my current jack but it doesn’t have any model number or labels on it. On the top of the black plastic cover, it says “RAM” Ram Company 3500 lb Electric Jack. Mine is broken now and I need a replacement, what do you recommend?

I recommend upgrading to a Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jack # LC643589 on your 2021 Venture Stratus SR321VQB. With the Lippert jack you will no longer have to stand there and hold the switch for the jack to fully retract or deal with adjusting the hitch to the correct height when its time to hook up to your tow vehicle.

The jack has a memory feature that allows you to program the hitch height and quickly return to that height by pressing a sequence on the jack buttons. Once you have the jack height programmed where you want it you will simply push the up and down arrows 3 times while holding on the third until the jack begins to move. To auto retract you push the down arrow 3 times and hold on the third until the jack begins to retract.

It will wire in to the 12 volt battery on the front of your Stratus the same as your current jack. You can also check the battery level on your Stratus with the touch pad. A LED light will also shine to the coupler as well as on the sides of the frame to help you hitch up in low light conditions.

I believe the jack that you currently have is a different model from the etrailer Electric Jack w/ Footplate # EJ-3520-BBX that you found. Manufacturers still use both the twist on style plug as well as the rubber plugs as both have their benefits and negatives. I personally think they both do the job but everyone has their reason that one is better than the other.
