2 Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier Combo

Question:

Wondering about options for dual hitch to use Thule Combi hitch cargo carrier and bike rack. Do you know of any way to mount these with a modified dual hitch, with separation between the two hitch female inlets of about 33 inches? Thanks

While we have items such as the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, # RM-077-10 that support connecting two items to the hitch this will not work with the Thule Transporter Combi Hitch Mounted Enclosed Cargo Carrier, # TH665C while simultaneously using a hitch mounted bike rack. The bikes hanging on the rack will need to occupy the same space as the cargo carrier.

We do however have the option of the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Bike Rack w/ Cargo Carrier for 2 Bikes, # HR1450Z-85, or # HR1400Z-85 for 4 bikes bikes. The Sport Rider SE2 consists of a two-bike base unit and a cargo basket extension unit, allowing you to use the carrier as either a two-bike rack with the cargo basket, or as a stand-alone cargo basket. You can then add on something such as the etrailer Cargo Bag w/ Mounting Straps, # e98990 if needed. The # HR1400Z-85 adds a 2-bike extension so you can use it all of the ways that you can use the # HR1450Z-85, plus you can use it as a 4-bike stand-alone without the cargo carrier.

Other options in a higher price point are the Yakima EXO System with 2 Bike Rack and Enclosed Cargo Carrier, # Y34ZR and the Yakima EXO System with 2 Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier, # Y54ZR. These two options not only provide the cargo carrier and bike rack combo you are asking for but also have a swing-away base that pivots 90 degrees even while fully loaded. The top level rotates 180-degrees back, providing access to gear on lower level.
