12V Outlet Kit for Portable Supplemental Braking System
Question:
Do you sell a kit to convert dash lighter in 2009 VW Beetle to always hot? Need to power Brake without ignition on.

We don't offer a kit that would keep your 12-v socket powered up, but we do have a solution for you.
I'd recommend using a Roadmaster 12V outlet kit, part # RM-9332. The wiring feeding the outlet would run through the firewall and connect to the battery. This is how folks will typically power a portable braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. I'd also recommend installing a charge line kit like # RM-156-25 to provide a maintenance charge to the battery while the Beetle's being towed. It's still recommended to start the vehicle and let it run for a few minutes when you stop to fuel up.
