Using Two Thule Hullavators on 2014 Chevy Volt with Inno Roof Rack
Question:
Hello. I am interested to know if this setup is possible to carry my 17-foot Prijon Kayak: INNO Square Bar Roof Rack with a Thule Hullivator on both sides I have two sets. I would have to substitute the 50-inch square bars recommended for my vehicle for 58-inch bars to accommodate for the 4-8 inches required to attach the Hullivators. My concern is that the spacing between the bars is too narrow 26-inches I believe. I do use bow and stern tiedowns for stability. Would it just be better go with the recommended 50-inch square bars and use crossbar pads instead? Or will the Hullivators be a workable option as well as a safe one? I am also concerned about the extra weight of the Hullivators. Kayak weighs in at 63 pounds. Thank you so much!

The minimum crossbar spread the Thule Hullavator part # TH898 can fit is 24 inch so if you have a 26 with an Inno rack installed that would work great. Since you already have the two Hullavators you may as well go that route. Especially since they are really nice and assisted.
So for that you'd need the part numbers # INSUT, # INK624, and # INB147 and you'd be set.
