Replacement Motor Home Axles, Hubs, And Wheels

Question:

I have a dual axle trailer and apparently the axles are matching mobile home axles. We’ve had this trailer since the early 80’s. I need to replace the hubs and wheels. The bearings are parts #4T-LM102949 and #4T-LM67048 both also have the letters NYN stamped on them. The seal I have here is #442109. Is this enough information? The trailer is out at my property and not here in town with me. If you need more info, I can get it this weekend. I’d like to avoid replacing the axles. We primarily use the trailer on the property and rarely on the road so I’m comfortable with the old axles.

I understand that your primary use of this motor home will be on your property. If you had a traditional trailer this would not be an issue, but since you have a motor home we have some limitations to deal with first. Your motor home axle is not a standardized axle size. Due to this, your motor home axle does not have any replacement hubs available. Since motor home axles are not replaceable, by design, manufacturers did not design aftermarket hubs for them. As a result, we do not have a hub that fits your axle spindle. As a result, any solution will involve replacing the axles, hubs, and wheels.

If you would like for us to recommend those parts for you I will need additional information from you. I will need the following;

1 The hub face to hub face measurement.
2. The spring seat to spring seat measurement.
3. The axle capacity of your motor home.

Once we have this information we can recommend a axle, hub, and wheel combination. I have included a diagram that shows how to get the measurements we need.
