Carrying Bikes And Towing A Motorcycle Trailer On My 2001 Honda Civic

Question:

The attach picture shows current setup without the existing 30X32inch motorcycle type trailer. Its either trailer or bike rack but not both: Is a Swagman style item #S64675 Bike Towing Rack sold for a 1.25inch Trailer Hitch Tilting? Thank you,

The Swagman Original 4 Bike Towing Rack for 2" Trailer Hitches - Tilting, part # S64675, is only made for Class III, 2" hitch receivers. Unfortunately, the smallest hitch receiver that you can use with a dual hitch adapter is Class III or 2" hitch receiver. Your receiver's tongue weight is reduced by 50% when using an adapter, that would reduce the capability of your hitch receiver, which is either Class I or Class II, to an amount that would render the adapter ineffective.

I do have an alternate solution, carrying the bikes on the roof of your vehicle. The Yakima roof rack for a 2001 Honda Civic will consist of the following;

Yakima CoreBar Crossbars - Steel - Black - 50" Long - Qty 2, part # Y00421,
BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4, part # Y28TR,
BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2, part # Y06145,
BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2, part # Y06143. and
Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4), part # Y07204.

This rack has a weight limit of 165lbs. It has elliptical shaped crossbars that help reduce wind noise and help with fuel efficiency. This rack works with all clamping roof rack accessories. You can also lock this rack to your vehicle with Yakima's Same Key System Lock Cores.

I have included product description links and video review links below.
