Does Gear Box on Outside of Bulldog Jack have to be Removed to Install a Powered Drive Motor

Does the gearbox on the side of the manual 2-speed have to be removed? Can it be removed?

I spoke with my contact at Bulldog about powered drive kit # BD1824180100. He said that you can use it with the Bulldog 2-speed manual jack # BD183802. All you have to do is to disassemble the gear box to remove the handle that goes through the jack because the powered drive kit has one that replaces it.
