As long as your 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.7L V8 has the factory towing package the brake output wire will be located to the left of the brake pedal and will be either light green or blue. Sometimes this wire can be tucked behind the driver side kick panel. Take a look at the 4:45 minute mark of the included installation video as it does a great job of showing this wire and where it is located.
To finish installing the controller you will also need the # 5506 and a circuit tester like # PTW2993 if you do not already have one. The harness on your controller will get wired as follows:
Blue wire on controller harness to light green or blue wire you found.
Black wire on controller harness to positive terminal of battery with included 20 amp or 30 amp circuit breaker depending on the specific controller you are installed (20 amp is typically for trailers with 1-2 braking axles, and 30 amp is typically for trailers with 3-4 braking axles. Consult your controllers owner's manual to be sure.)
Red wire on controller harness to cold side wire of stop light switch. This wire will only have power when the brake pedal is pressed, so using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 will allow you to be sure you connect to the correct wire.
White wire on controller harness to ground.
If you do not already have a trailer brake controller the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 you were looking at is a great choice as it is very reliable and is a proportional controller which is ideal as it senses the intensity you applied the brakes in your Jeep and sends the same braking intensity to your trailers brakes for controlled braking.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
