Can 3" to 2-1/2" and 2-1/2" to 2" Reducer Be Used with Equalizer Weight Distribution System

Question:

Is it safe to use a 3” to 2.5” reducer like the “Draw-Tite Reducer Sleeve with Collar - 3inch to 2-1/2inch and the Ford oem 2.5” to 2” reducer additionally to adapt down to a 2” Equal-i-zer 14,000lb rated hitch for RV or should I purchase a straight 3” to 2” adapter? We are upgrading trucks and already own the 2.5 to 2” adapter and was curious if could use and have all sizes.

The best option to use an Equalizer Weight Distribution System with a 3" trailer hitch would be to upgrade to a 2-1/2" shank, the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank part # EQ90-02-4800 and then you can use a 3" to 2-1/2" reducer sleeve. I don't recommend using multiple sleeves, this would create too much slop and play in the system.
