I am sorry to hear you are having an issue getting power in the factory trailer brake controller port of your 2017 Ram 1500.
You will need to check Fuse F-11 is installed in the engine bay fuse box, and is not blown. This should be a pink 30 amp fuse and is the trailer brake controller circuit. Without this fuse you will not have power to your trailer brake controller.
