You can absolutely install a trailer brake controller in your 2019 Honda Passport, but there are no wiring adapters available to plug in the controller to your factory trailer brake controller port, so you will need to hard wire it.

I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 you were looking at as it is an extremely reliable controller with great features like an easy to read LCD screen and built in diagnostics that are easy to read and understand.

If your Passport does not already have a 7-way connector you will need to add one using # 118286.

To install the # 90195 in your Passport you will need the factory trailer brake controller wiring adapter which will plug in to the factory controller port underneath the dash of your truck and will give you 4 wires that you will connect the controller to.

The blue wire of the factory harness will get connected to the black wire of the controller
The black wire of the factory harness will get connected to the white wire of the controller
The brown wire of the factory harness will get connected to the blue wire of the controller
The sky blue wire of the factory harness will get connected to the red wire of the controller
