Parts Suggestions for Flat Towing 1996 Geo Tracker
Question:
What parts will I need for flat-towing a 1996 Geo Tracker 2 door? I already have a demco commander II towbar that I used on my 2004 GMC Envoy. Will that towbar work on my Geo? We already have a patriot braking system , too. Thanks

A tow bar isn't vehicle specific, so it will work with just about any vehicle that has a compatible base plate kit installed on it.
For a 1996 Geo Tracker 2 door, you'd want to use the Demco # DM9517023 base plate kit which is compatible with your tow bar. You'll also need safety cables like the # RM-643 if you don't have them already.
To wire the taillights so they operate in sync with those on the tow vehicle, I'd recommend a diode system like part # RM-154. The Blue Ox Patriot braking system you refer to would be a good choice.
