Solution for Needing Manual Socket Tool for Atwood Powered A-Frame Jack

Question:

Not a question, but a response/suggestion related to the previous Atwood Jack handle question. I understand that you no longer carry the Atwood jack handle for use when your electric tongue jack motor doesnt work. The Stromberg handle is an awkward work around and other jack handle adaptors that fit the Atwood electric jack 1/2inch round shaft with two ears all require the use of an electric drill. I easily made my own tool to operate the Atwood jack using a 1/2inch deep 12-point 3/8-drive socket that I cut two 5/32inch x 1/2inch long slots in the end. The 1/2inch socket fits over the 1/2inch shaft in the jack and the two slots fit over the ears allowing you to raise and lower the jack using a 3/8inch drive ratchet wrench.
