MaxxFan Dome Plus Roof Vent Compatibility With A Pop Up Camper Roof

Question:

I want to install one of the 6 inch roof vents over the cassette pottie area. Factory options would have put a 14 x 14 vent in that location. Models and year of roof is a 2007 Jayco 12HW. I’m worried about roof structure.

The MaxxFan Dome Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - LED Light - 6" Diameter - Manual Lift - White Item # MA00-03810W will fit roofs 1" - 6" thick. Typically pop up campers are 1" thick and this fan weighs approximately 3lbs so you won't have to worry about it ruining the structural integrity of your camper's roof. Typical pop up camper roofs can hold up to 200lbs of evenly distributed weight.

You will need some sealant while installing this fan to prevent any water leakages; I recommend the TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant - 10.1-Fl-Oz Cartridge - White Item # 0160297.
