Is 12 Gauge Wire Correct For Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit

Question:

I saw you video for installing the Rm-156-75 on a Class a motorhome. Before I order anything I have a Question. is the 12 guage wire heavy enough to carry the amperage load when running 40 feet of wire or should I use 10 guage? About what is the approximate amps? Thanks a Bunch

So in regards to the amperage, the charge line kit will transfer 15 amps; as for the wiring, since it is only 15 amps, you can absolutely use the included 12 gauge wire of the motorhome kit, which is the following part number:

- Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75

I also wanted to mention that if you also need a kit for your towed vehicle, the correct kit is the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25.

I have added links below to video reviews of both kits for you to check out as well.
