RV Bike Rack to Carry Four 60 lb Electric Bikes

Question:

We have a Holiday Rambler Admiral 34J, are looking for a 4 bike rack. We have Lectric XP Electric bikes with fat tires 3.75-4 inch that weigh 60 lbs each. We will likely carry 2 bikes most of the time yet we want to travel with 3 or 4 occasionally. Which bike rack do you suggest?

So there is a single option available for a bike rack that is approved for use on an RV (both a motorhome like yours and a trailer should you have one or go that route in the future) and has the ability to carry four 60 lb electric bikes, which is from Let's Go Aero. It is actually a 2-bike rack with an add-on, so what you will need is the following:

- Lets Go Aero V-Lectric FAT PRO Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # LGA77FR

- 2-Bike Add-On for Lets Go Aero V-Lectric Electric Bike Rack # LGA94FR

- Fat Tire Adapter Kit # LGA87FR

This bike rack and its add-on actually have a 75 lb per-bike capacity so it will be able to carry your 60 lb bikes easily, and it is a wheel-mount design so there will be no contact with the frame of your bikes, helping protect them. It also has a shank with a 6 inch rise for optimal ground clearance, which is especially important on a motorhome as its rear can drop down, particularly over bumps.

Since you mentioned most of the time you will only be carrying two bikes this is the perfect option as well, because you can simply remove the 2-bike add-on when you want to carry just a pair of bikes.

The # LGA77FR will fit bikes with rims up to 4-1/2 inches wide, so the Fat Tire Adapter # LGA87FR is only needed for the 2-Bike Add-On # LGA94FR.
