Will a Weight Distribution System Stop My 2005 Nissan Armada Truck From Sagging

Question:

I have a 2005 nissan Armada and I am towing a 2006 Haulmark enclosed car hauler. I have partially load it, and when I hook it up, it s the rear end really low. Will installing this weight distribution kit level my truck? My truck has a towing capacity of 9100 lbs and the Tung weight can handle up to 800 lbs with a weight distribution kit installed... Can you guys help me?

Yes, a weight distribution system will help keep your vehicle from sagging when hooked up. The spring bars of the weight distribution system work to transfer the load from the tongue of the trailer to the vehicle and trailer axles.

You will need to properly load your trailer so that the tongue weight is not too high and is within the limits of your towing system. This will also help keep your vehicle level. Generally your tongue weight should be within 10 to 15 percent of your gross trailer weight.

The Strait-Line Weight Distribution Hitch System, item # RP66074, is an excellent weight distribution system that will also help control sway in high wind and when large vehicles pass. Along with this system you will need a properly sized hitch ball, item # 19286 or # 63836 and a weight distribution shank, item # RP54970.
