2019 Ford F-150 Front Hitch Receiver Compatibility With RockyMounts SplitRail LS 2
Question:
How well will this bike rack - RockyMounts SplitRail LS 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2inch Hitches - Tilting - Wheel Mount - work as a front mount e-bike carrier on an f150 with a front end 2x2 receiver? the e-bikes without the battery weigh less the 60lbs each. Can you estimate how high the bikes would ride so as not to create a driver view obstruction. the front end receiver sits 8.5 inches off the ground.

The RockyMounts SplitRail LS 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Tilting - Wheel Mount, part # RKY11404, will work great as a bike rack on the front hitch. It has a slight rise in the shank, so the bikes will sit higher than the 8.5" your hitch receiver sits off the ground. The rack will sit 11 1/2" higher than the hitch receiver in your 2019 Ford F-150 when it is in use. If you take a measure of your bikes from tires to handlebars and add to the 11 1/2" you can compare that with the height of your hood height of your truck. That would give you an idea of how much, if any, your bikes will will be above the hood of your truck.
