Adding A Quick Disconnect To A Grill With 1"-20 Fitting Regulator

Question:

I would like to use rv quick connect for propane instead of 1lb cylinders. We have an old grill with the heat control on the regulator. The regulator just pushes on the grill. See pictures. Is there any way to connect to the old grill? We will be purchasing a portable Weber grill in the future. What adapters are needed to connect to Weber? I noticed there are different size connections 1” vs 3/8” at the grill end. What’s the difference?

Expert Reply:

Without seeing the other side of your regulator it's hard to know exactly what the connection is but it should be a 1"-20 fitting so you would be good with using the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Hose for Small Appliance - Disposable Cylinder Port - 10' Item # 100476-120-MBS.

Whenever you purchase your new grill just shoot us a pic of the connection and we can verify the correct fitting needed.
